I've been struggling to get Tasker to work with Autoremote.

The messages are getting to my phone as I can see in the Autoremote log.

In the Tasker log I see (pretty much instantly after sending the message)

07.03.59    OK           -5.1    SET_GLOBAL_VARS.Variable Set
07.03.59    EXITOK    -5       SET_GLOBAL_VARS

The global variables I set up out of desperation can be found in the VARS category

but a simple profile and task with a Flash command doesn't work at all

(Common issues I've found in other posts which I've attempted
Event Behaviour: ON
Allow External Access: ON
Restore Setting: OFF)

Thanks for looking :)

Hi.

Thanks for your feedback.

Have you tried following this example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4Uu7x6PGYA

Thanks for the reply, I followed that tutorial exactly and any others I could find. I just tried again with a new profile, message filter and computer name to no avail.
I have attached 5 images as follows:
1)The profile trigger
2)The configuration settings
3)The log from my PC sending the message to my phone (to see the times and messages sent)
4)The AutoRemote log
5)The Tasker log

The task the profile triggers is a "flash" and a global variable "%Test" set to "working", in the VARS section next to "%Test" it is still blank.

Ok, I think I know what the problem is. You're setting the "Target" parameter on your PC. that is for a different use altogether. Unset that setting and it should work. :)
To learn more about the "Target" parameter, look here: http://joaoapps.com/autoremote/walkthrough/#target

Thank you so much for that, I love all your apps by the way and your manner in forums is absolutely great. Thanks for helping me out :)
