Hi there, i'm trying to arrange a profile that allows me to trigger GPS as soon as Maps opens (by going under Location settings and choosing "high precision" mode)
i've set a couple of tasks with Autoinput (which i find absolutely amazing!!!) that go on Location settings and then change the "precision" of geolocation .
Now the problem is that setting a profile with an app context to achieve this is somewhat complicated...because of the fact that the profile keeps on triggering on and off (depending on Maps being in the foreground or not).

i've tried also some combinations of profiles with variables and stuff like that, but with no significant results. i'm sure i'm messing up something and i'm quite sure there is a simpler way to do this...
Has someone already gone through this? any suggestions?

thanks in advance
cheers

Do you have a GPS toggle in your notification drawer? Maybe that won't change the app context :)

I asked the same question elsewhere and was told to create separate profiles for entry and exit, which seems to work for some reason. My problem now is that I can't get autoinput to consistently fire off it's part of the task. Sometimes it is slow, sometimes does nothing, sometimes sends a notification saying that accessibility services is not started. I've added wait times between tasks. Not sure what else to do.

on my G2 i don't have a direct gps toggle under quick settings.

anyway i finally arranged something that works fine !
made two profiles:

- Profile A : (event driven) it triggers when %WIN matches "Maps" and fires a task that go through location settings and turn on "high precision" and go back to the app, then it disables Profile A and enables Profile B (which is important to prevent the looping)

- Profile B: (app context) it triggers when it recognizes Google Maps but it has only an exit task , which gets back to location settings and select "battery saving" mode and go back home, then it disables Profile B and enables Profile A

cheers
