Thank you but I still have not been able to get this to work! I already looked through the faq and not to familiar with the Google communities.

But my profile is

AutoVoice recognize event
Even behavior = true
Command filter = call (? <contact>.+)
Use regex = true

My task

Flash
Text = looking for ‰contact
Autocontacts
Contact name or Nickname = %contact
Flash
Text= found ‰contact
Call
Number = %acnumber
Auto dial = true

Please help!
Thank you!
Greatly appreciated!

Hi. Can you please export your profile's description directly from Tasker like it's mentioned in the FAQ? :)  That way I can be sure of what exactly you configured.

Thanks

How do i do that? When i go to the settings to export it. It does not have this option like it does on my other profiles.
it seems like any profile that i have that has a auto plugin i can not export them?

You need to name the profile. Then it'll be exportable

The only thing that seems wrong to me there is the ‰contact in the flash. You should be using the percentage sign.

Maybe when it doesn't work, it simply didn't recognize the name correctly? Do you know an example of a name that doesn't work? If you find one that doesn't work, use that exact command on the "Test Command" option in AutoVoice, so that you know you are giving AutoContacts the correct name.

Ok the thing is its not just one that does not work. Like the name Kayla or jay I also have a profile that loads a app on voice recognition and it still does the same. It like auto voice is recognizing but not sending it to Tasker. No mater what I say it flashes the recommended commands but does not do the task that is set!

Ok, let's take it one step at a time. Can you please give me a concrete example of what works and one that doesn't work so we can try to narrow it down?
Thanks

That's my problem it never works all the time for one thing I could say call Kayla and it will call. Then I will try again and it will not work I could do it multiple times and it may work once or twice.
I can do this with a common name and it still will not work.

This happens with another task I have that uses AutoVoice recognize. The command is set to play Netflix. It will work once or twice.

Ok, can you create a popup at the beginning of the task with the value %avcomm and show me what it shows?

Thanks

Ok i added a the pop up and i get a block box with the command and the name i say. So if i tell it to "call Kayla" it pops up and has the text call kayla. It seems to work a lot more but it does something weird on the command "call jay" it popped up with call call j without the A&y and it called Aunt jackie(Note that the contact aunt jackie does not have a nikename that corresponds to J) . It did not give me a notification saying Check data on AutoContacts everytime but it did a few times on the command "call jay"

That seems to be the problem then. The voice recognition engine is simply not recognizing the right words everytime. That's why it works some times and doesn't work other times.
You have 2 options:
 - In the AutoVoice Recognized condition, under advanced, do replacements. For example, if you get A&y instead of Jay, put "A&y=Jay" in this field (without quotes)
 - In AutoContacts give Jay the nickname A&y, so that when your voice is recognized like that, it picks the correct contact by nickname

Hope this helps.

I'm sorry I don't think I worded this right, but when I say the command call jay it only recognize it as call J but it flashes a few recommended commands like call j
Call jay
Call yea

But it when it gets the command call j it calles aunt Jackie.. But I have gotten it to work by saying the name alittle longer. And I was about to do the set a nickname. But I believe saying the name longer seems to work pretty good now.. My only problem is now that if I say a different command it will not launch such as Netflix play movie. Which I set a Variable

Hi.
Please follow this so you can get started: joaoapps.com/autovoice/
You should at least get the examples to work and go from there.

So you couldn't even get the examples on that page to work?

I have a command Netflix play and it's suppose to open Netflix and go to the search page.

Now when I say Netflix play it will flash like 5 recommended options but it will not launch the task.?

I am experiencing this same issue even with the most basic tasks. Was there ever a resolution?

I'm right there with you, guys. I started using tasker about a week ago on my nexus 5 and have gotten relatively handy with it. I checked my logs with continuous on and it is recognizing the commands but tasker does not implement the voice recognition into the task. If I turn continuous off, then back on, it will work for a few seconds, then stops working again. I can't seem to get any consistency out of it. I'm using very basic commands to launch apps. I've read every tutorial and watched every youtube video I could find on autovoice. I'm going to venture a guess that it's not user error at this point...
