Autocast and browser

I watched the video on how to autocast my own videos from the gallery apps. But I am having an issue with broadcasting from a browser every time that I cast it I get nothing but a blank screen on my chromecast. Any thoughts?

Doing nothing different then sharing a video thru the gallery. I open up a browser (chrome) hit share pick auto share and autocast logo comes up on chromecast and then black screen in chromecast. I'm trying to cast for example my local news or espn

Yes, but stuff from the browser usually comes in the %astext variable and not %asfile(). So you need to account for that.

I really didnt do anything different then I would do for viewing local videos from my android device to my chromecast. You said somethng about changing a string of text but I am a complete noob when it comes to advanced tasker so I need a helping hand

I go to Chrome hit share I've picked autoshare and autoshare command. All I get is a black screen on chrome cast. It the android notifications is says autocast is casting but I get the black screen. After using the flash command I get received share command none files none. Can I broadcast an app like my local news or watch ESPN?

What are you trying to cast from Chrome? What page specifically?

To cast a webpage you need to use the "Any Web Page" screen and not the "Full Screen Media" screen. Can you try that please?

Tried that and I am still getting a black screen I see in your description that only a few websites work can you give me an example of one? Maybe the websites im casting arent supported.

You forgot to set the %astext variable in the URL element of the "Any Web Page" screen.

Got the webpages to cast thank you....but still no luck on live video in those webpages.

Yes, there is. You should use the "AutoCast Control Media" action for that. You could create a notification where the buttons control playback for example.
