Apologies if this has come up before, I had a quick search.

I recently subscribed to AutoApps to unlock the Projects and full versions of Apps.

I installed AutoRemote from AutoApps and then downloaded "Set Remote Variable", and imported it into Tasker. However, Tasker doesn't think I have AutoRemote installed, and prompts me to buy the standalone version.

I can fix this by exporting, editing the package name and re-importing but that seems hacky. And that's for one event, if I wanted to import a project or profile with multiple references to AutoRemote I have to fix them all. And if I want to share a project presumably I have to edit all references first?

Why does this issue only occur with AutoRemote, and are there any workarounds? It seems... awkward that unlocking a project from AutoApps doesn't work with the AutoApps version of AutoRemote :P

Use the autoremote beta one. Then it will see you have the paid app.

You're right, I hadn't thought of that. This is a tricky one.
The reason is that a long time ago, when I started developing the auto apps, I used to create separate lite and full versions. So there are 2 versions of AutoRemote out there: lite and full
Then AutoApps came along and I wanted a centralized way of unlocking all my apps. So, the only way I got it to do that was to make the lite version of AutoRemote be unlockable with AutoApps. The full version won't work because obviously you need to buy it first :)
So, that's where we are now. I see I need to figure out a better solution. But I'm glad you found a workaround yourself!
Thanks

Hi, I am signed up as a tester for the beta of AutoRemote and have a subscription to AutoApps. The link to the play store still shows a price of $3.99

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What did you expect it to show? :) That's the regular price of the app....

Not sure I understand your reply. The initial poster in this thread described a scenario where he paid for the monthly subscription and was only able to install AutoRemoteLite.

I am currently paying for the subscription. I was under the impression that this would unlock the full version of all the apps as opposed to the "Lite" version (specifically AutoRemote).

No I didn't, I described a scenario where the subscription paid version and the purchase paid version have different package names.

Go to the AutoApps app and open the AutoRemote app, it will be the paid versions, *just with a different package name*.

So the app named "AutoRemoteLite" will actually be the full AutoRemote version with no limitations?

Yes it will. Sorry for the confusion. I have no way to re-name the app once it's unlocked. Sorry!
