Nodeid and heritage

Hello,

I'd like to know if the attribut "transient public Nodeid node" have
to write in the child class and the parent class.
By example :

public class Person {
transient public Nodeid node
String name;
}

public class American {
transient public Nodeid node
String size
}

Do I need to write transient public Nodeid node in the both classes?

Bat,
not sure there, maybe someone else has a clue? You might just look at
the code if in doubt, and try debugging it?

I think its only required in base, and also think there r examples in test package
