Summer Art is Sizzling....
Hi there,
The weather, if not the art, is sizzling in both Texas and southern New Mexico. Gene, spouse, and I are gearing up to go to the cool mountains of northern New Mexico. :-) It has been busy around here since closing the gallery in downtown Bastrop. We always wonder when we had time to have full time jobs.
Texas-wise, my art is now in the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery at 1009 Main Street and at the White Morpha Fine Art Restorations and Gallery at 714 Chestnut St., both in downtown Bastrop, Texas.
I usually have about 5 paintings at the Guild Gallery which are rotated at least every three months. You can see a variety of work there. First Fridays are continuing with featured artists each month. First Fridays include the other galleries, restaurants and music. The Guild has a variety of work in many styles and media. A preview of the artists is on-line on the updated website

uild.comI have six of my pastel paintings on display at White Morpha. Jessica Miller runs the gallery and restores art. She does an excellent and professional job. White Morpha carries vintage prints and paintings. Very nice for our small town. You can find out about White Morpha on facebook and the website is

In New Mexico, my next public exhibit is my Eighth Annual Show at Peppers Gallery in my hometown, Magdalena. Gene and I have been going to the Annual Old Timers Reunion for several years. We wanted to visit with some of our old timer friends. Well, now we are the old timers.
I will have more than twenty paintings and other items on!
exhibit and for sale at Peppers Art Gallery during Old Timers!
on July
8 - 10, 2011. On Saturday, July 9, we will host a reception from 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. with refreshments, free to the public. On Friday and Sunday I will paint out on the porch. One of the paintings will be a door prize raffled on Sunday. You do not have to be present to win. Stop by Peppers, it will be nice to see you and catch up on "old times".
The Old Timers Reunion has events for every interest. There is a parade on Saturday, a kids rodeo, old timers rodeo, street dance, queen, theater, food booths, arts and crafts, barbeque, pancake breakfast and more.
