Magdalena Mountain Sun

Hi All,

Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. I have been sending
newsletters for a few years now, only in the spring for my annual show
in July in Magdalena, New Mexico, and another to let you know what is
going on in Bastrop, Texas in the winter.

This newsletter will be sent monthly or with an extra issue if
something exciting is going on. As in the past, your e-mail is not
shared with anyone else. This newsletter will have information that I
hope is useful. I will be sharing information about collecting art,
caring for your artwork, the creating process as well as information
about my shows.

And, in keeping with the tradition here is the information about my
annual show in Magdalena:

The Old Timers Reunion is the setting for my Sixth Annual Artist
Reception at Peppers Art Gallery, 100 East 1st., Magdalena, New
Mexico, 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2009. I hope you
can come by and see my paintings reflecting my New Mexico heritage.
Refreshments will be served. I will paint and demonstrate on Sunday,
July 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Events at Peppers are free.

Old Timers is a tradition in Magdalena lasting three days on the
second weekend of July. There is a rodeo for children, another for
cowboys 50 years of age and older, a street dance, theater, arts and
crafts, barbeque, pancake breakfast, New Mexican food, Navajo fry
bread and other dishes, parade and much more.

For a preview of my exhibit and see paintings currently at Peppers
visit my website, Peppers Art Gallery page.

New paintings will be added as they are completed.

People have asked if I sell prints of my work. I have sold a few in
the past. I feel that my work is reasonably priced and encourage you
folks to purchase original art over prints. By the time you pay $25
or more for a print and then frame it, you will have invested almost
as much or more than a af framed small original.

Original paintings will be around many years and should increase in
value. The days are gone where there is any increase in the value of
prints .. or very few anyway. You should purchase a piece of art that
you like and will enjoy. If you like a piece it will go in your
collection with no problem. Our personal collection of art runs from
traditional realistic art to abstract, collages and sculpture. It all
looks great and enhances our home.

The art news in Bastrop has been about my donations. I donated an
original acrylic seascape to the Family Crisis Center for their annual
dance in January which you can see here:
