It's the Word Wenches' 5th birthday. We're celebrating with a new look
and a historical film contest. Can you spot which Wench loves which
film? Will you know by our voice, our taste....?

There's a signed book from each Wench for one lucky winner, plus you
might get some great movie suggestions. And please share your
favourites, especially if they're not so well known.

I'm hoping to get a regular newsletter out in early June when I'm back
from London, but with our new house almost at the end of its
renovations -- which seems to require daily consultations and visits
-- it might be delayed.

In London I'll be attending the announcement of the winner of the
Terry Pratchett Anywhere but Here, Anywhen but Now First Novel Award.
Shereen Vedam, a Canadian friend, is one of the 5 finalists. So
exciting! I'm hoping I'll get to read her acceptance speech.
