Please receive call or reply to sms. It is not mandatory to give money to silver jubilee function. But asking all is my duty. Either by mail, sms, call, chat or whatever. I am trying all methods because if somebody is not checking e mail or chat I may reach them by call. If somebody is busy to receive a call, sms may do. Hence I am doing my best to inform everyone of my batch. If you are annoyed by frequent requests, this is the reason. And the solution is also simple. By communicating to me in whatever the way you can.
I have only two questions.
1. Whether you can participate in the silver jubilee function being held on 26th and 27th January, 2013. Yes/No/May be will do. This is required for the preparation of the program logistics.
2. Are you contributing to the silver jubilee funds? If yes, Please do it at the earliest possible as further preparations and plans depend on the funds generated by us. If you are not able/willing to contribute, please inform me the same because at least I can rest assured that somebody has confirmed me that he/she is not contributing. I will try to stop asking you for contribution. If by mistake, you receive a mail or sms even after saying NO, you may ignore that.
To share my feelings with you, I am also not comfortable with asking all of you repeatedly for money. I am not asking it for myself, please note. Neither I am forcing anyone to give money. I am trying repeatedly, and that’s it.
In the previous preparatory meetings, (Nov 12th, Nov 25th, Dec 2nd ), it was decided that by Dec 15th, all our preparations should be complete with a clear idea of
1. Reach out as many people as possible.
2. How many people are participating in the function?
3. Fund collection should be complete so that based on that we can decide the budget and begin the preparations.
Hence I began contacting our batch mates for the information and funds. Today it is Dec 13th. With two more days to go for the final preparatory meeting (Dec 16th at woodland hotel, keshwapur road, Hubli), I am able collect just Rs. 3000. While 1st batch and 2nd batch people are discussing 1.5 lakh and 3 lakh collected (or estimated). 2nd batch collections have already crossed one lakh long back. With all possible contacts I have, I am not able to reach to even one girl student of our batch. Because of this reason, I am thinking of skipping the meeting (How can I say that I could collect only Rs.3000 and I could not reach any girl student of our batch?). Neither am I able to collect 10% of the estimate nor do I have any estimate of how much I will be able to generate..
It was decided that each batch will contribute at least one lakh. (Considering 75 member batch with 50% reachout). That comes to about 2-3 thousand per head. There may be exceptions where some of the friends may not be doing well enough to contribute. In that case, other batch mates may pitch in with more contributions. I have contacted with my best efforts to following members.

If any more batchmates are left out, please inform them and invite them for the function.
I spoke to Girish Halageri, who left JNV when we were in 7th, Jyoti pujar, Padma Jalli, through facebook and personal contacts. They are not sure they are coming to Function. I also informed them about the contribution to which they did not reply positively. As they left school early and for various other reasons, they may not be willing to contribute. But as core group members who are in touch, all of us can contribute, is what I felt.
Other day I spoke to Ravikumar Housanoor, who advised to approach you all with better marketing skills. Or inculcate marketing skills?. Should I approach my friends with marketing skill? I thought an informal call, sms, mail would do. And above all, I am not doing this for myself. Please do understand..
One form for submission of whereabouts about you (address, email, mobile number, present job etc) is also uploaded in the facebook Alumni_JNV_Dharwad page. Please give the info. I can see that many friends visit facebook, post comments, read messages and make new friends and all. Can’t you reply to my call or sms?.
Satya, appreciate you for representing our batch.
Friends, whatever we are today, major credit goes to our school & teachers. Contribute generously. You may not get occasion like this again in near future.
