As probably all of you know by now, it is decided to celebrate silver jubilee function of completing 25 years of beginning of our JNV, Dharwad. A meeting was held on 14.11.2012, at Hubli and planned preliminary works and responsibilities for the same. Dates for the event are not fixed yet. It was decided to collect donations from all the alumni. Amount is not fixed and each can give whatever the amount he/she can give. It was decided that from each batch two persons should be selected who would coordinate the information, proceedings and plans of the event to his/ her batchmates. I am volunteering to be one among them and ask you all to suggest one more person preferably female who is staying in Bangalore so that we can reach to as many friends as possible. It was also decided to collect funds from alumni and deposit it to a common bank account. Meeting decided that as of now, it can be deposited in one of the volunteer’s personal bank account and then be transferred to common bank account as there is still no such common account. But I differ in this opinion as it is not correct to do so. I discussed with Manjunath. Nekar, who suggested that he had created one account 2 years back at Unakal, Hubli which can be utilized for the purpose. Account has been inactive for long and needs to be activated. Please suggest and opine..
I am also finding it difficult to keep in touch with all as a am not familiar with emails, groups, discussions. Please help!

Had attended meeting on 25th, sunday at JNV, Dharwad.
Representation from 11 batches was present of the total 19 batches which have gone out of JNV Dharwad.
Decided on few things.
1. Dates for the function- 26 and 27 of jan 2013. Two days because if only one day is fixed, then people may come at 11am, and may have only 4-5 hours in the campus. Hence 2 days have been fixed. Those who find it convenient to visit on day 1 (26 Jan, republic day) can come. It will be only evening program on 26th. On 27th, it will be whole day event. Other dates are not possible because school is busy with exams later. And some entrance exams also.
2. 19 batches have come out of JNV, Dharwad as of now, and of which batches after year 2007 are still pursuing studies in various courses and will not be able to contribute much to the funding. And hence exempting them from funding. (But if they are affordable and are willing, they can pay)
3. School would provide only place for the function and may afford one meal to all the participants. Not more. There is no any funding from the Govt or JNV board for silver jubilee celebrations.
4. We could not finalise on the amount to be fixed for each alumni to give towards Alumni association. Mailnly because, not all alumni are equal and can afford the same. But it was decided that atleast of 1 lakh must be collected from each batch (and as much as possible try to collect more amount).
5. Source of Funds will be donations from Alumni and also advertisement in JNV college magazine.
6. Since we are skeptical about the funds we will be able to generate, we decided that only alumni will be a part of the function and not family. (At least as of now!! And if good amount of funds are generated, then we can always include family members also.)
7. Association creation, registration. Bank account creation. Name of association- JNV Dharwad Alumni Association.
8. Approximate Budget of function- 12-15 lakhs. Again it depends on How much funds we can generate.
