I join my colleagues to congratulate Dr. Saradindu Bhaduri of CSSP, JNU for getting appointed by nomination to hold the Prince Claus Chair in Development and Equity at the International Institute of Social Studies, the Hague, the Netherlands which is under Erasmus University Rotterdam. This chair is named after the Prince Claus of the Netherlands to commemorate and take forward his contribution to development and equity. Queen of the Netherlands is the patron of the Chair.

Each year they select one person following a global search to hold this position for two years. This is an honorary position, where Dr. Bhaduri will have to make occasional visits for research, lectures and  public talks. He will be affiliated with the Centre for Frugal Innovation In Africa, which is an inter university Centre having people from ISS, Leiden and the Delft.

Congratulations to Dr. Saradindu Bhaduri for achieving this rare distinction.

More details about the Chair is available here.

With Best Wishes

Anup
