Dear Convenor,

Though I am presently not a student of the university, I would like to say something about the forum's activities as I was earlier associated with it.

1. Please put up this notice on Facebook page as I think lots of people are member of the fb page, but not in the mailing list.
2. Please conduct discussion regularly.
3. The forum may conduct discussion on following topics:
a) Land bill (Earlier suggested by Kapil)
b) Private member bill
c) Net neutrality
4. JNU library's website link of the forum is not working. So, please inform the university librarian, Dr Gaur.

Regards,

Debabrata

Dear Debabrata,

Thank you for sharing with us your concerns. We are looking into the website already. As far as the land bill discussion is concerned, we shall talk about it at the meeting. The reason why this semester has been a relatively inactive one, is because there has been an overhaul in the forum for the committee. The previous office-bearers have handed the responsibility over to us. And although we could match them in enthusiasm, it will take some time before we garner enough experience to bring things back on track, so to speak. With your help, we hope to make the next semester an especially active one. Looking forward to your cooperation, and to your presence at the meeting today.

Best,
Convener

Dear Convener,
First of all thanks and welcome for being convening the activities of the Forum. Though me, Debu, Goutam and many others tried to push forward all the things required for it. At least me, Debu and Goutam are now outsiders and can only seek your activities through web and can advice only remotely, if required.

The major reason for low activity was loss of enthusiasm as I perceive.
Not getting an approval of audience by looking at audience strength.

In my view few important reasons for genesis of the forum was -

1) Inducing interest in variety of topics of general importance or study or just of curiosity.
2) Filling the gaps in learning on requests and availability of resource person.

Unlike other forums/seminars/conferences, we expect our audience from any field. That is our presenters should be capable of posing the most difficult idea in simplest terms.

So, I think it would be great if you people start with right expectation. For an example we started with our learning as motivation.

Debu and Goutam, please add/correct, if something missing
