Dear friends,
After a semester of complete non-functioning, primarily due to the turbulence our campus had faced since February, the JNU Forum for Mutual Learning is back in action again! The Forum is a completely academic body directed towards the extremely important aspiration that the research scholars in various fields of our university and beyond be aware of each others' research with the intention of the development of a vibrant, interactive academic community, the hallmark of JNU. Yet, when it comes to the question of attendance in the actual events, where several young scholars presented their exciting research papers, the turnout has often been disheartening for both the speaker and the organisers. The Forum is a body for, by and of the students, and its successful revival and growth is impossible without active participation. See you all on Saturday. Let us all make it a new, vibrant beginning!

1. please make a facebook page event and start inviting friends as well post them on various schools' fb pages.

2. please make colourful posters and send them to jnusu 5 days before the talk and ask them to paste across campus.

3. send the ifo to pro office so that they can display it on jnu's official screens/ site

4. a big hand made poster can be kept on a standee (borrow from jnu library) infront of the entrance to the venue that is outside library.

we are doing great work, but unless we involve students itself to advertise this it will be not possible to popularise the talks. i think requesting jnusu representatives to spread a message about this and to get people will be a good thing.

all the best,
g
