Invitation for a half day discussion on Promoting and Improving Quality of Research in Indian Universities /Colleges

Respected Sir/Madam,

The Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, JNU is pleased to
invite you for a half day discussion on the UGC report titled
"Promoting and Improving Quality of Research in Indian Universities
/Colleges" which is scheduled for 27th August, 2019.
UGC has constituted a Committee on “Promoting and Improving the
Quality of Research in Indian Universities /Colleges”. The Committee
has submitted its report which has two parts:
i. Improving the Quality of Research by Faculty and Creation of New
Knowledge and Strategies for Improving Research Culture in
Colleges/Universities
ii. Proposed UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of
M.Phil./Ph.D. degrees) Regulations.
The report of the committee along with a detailed programme schedule
is attached herewith .
We request you to kindly join us for the discussion and contribute to
the deliborations on Tuesday, 27th August, 2019 from 2:00 pm onwards,
at the Committee Room, School of Social Sciences-I, Jawaharlal Nehru
University, New Delhi-110067.
