Dear Neurology and Neurosurgery teams:

The Nodes of Ranvier went into today's playoff match as an underdog. As a 5th seed we went up against the 2nd seed, Cremasters who had only lost 1 game in the regular season. Let me just say, it was a heart breaker. The Fighting Nodes led 5-1 then 5-2 for a majority of the game. We dialed up the pressure with Nodes players hitting 2 Home Runs and applying albuterol-like defense --having the opponent all mystified. (Let's forget we had Mike from the NeuroSurgery Department wearing the two hats--3rd base and short stop, since we had no 3rd baseman). But late in the game, a Cremaster female power hitter hit a line drive grand slam into the gap ending the game 6-5.

Congratulations to Alicia Duris from Silver 9 and Tanbo Guo from the Graduate School of Education for making the All-Star team.

If you are interested in a teeshirt and playing in the spring season (starts around April), please contact me.

Kind Regards,
