Cisco ISE Engineer
Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing, managing and supporting various corporate wide data network and security operations & services utilizing the Cisco ISE. Specific activities will include the deployment/management of corporate network and security devices & services and associated project implementations regarding such. Device side administrative activities will include account, security management and infrastructure component monitoring.
Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job
• Internal Subject Matter Expert focused on Cisco's ISE technology. Responsible for day-to-day management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Responsible for managing Cisco ISE deployment across various geographical locations.
• Internal Subject Matter Expert with IEEE 802.1x.
• Internal Subject Matter Expert on Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) / Certificate Authority.
• Cisco ISE integration with wired and wireless infrastructure.
• Assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco security solutions and related systems.
• Develop both high-level and detailed implementation and test plans for security technologies related to enterprise networks.
• Produce detailed documentation through the entire project delivery life-cycle and lead by example producing best-in-class design, deployment and operational documentation to cover all aspects of infrastructure systems ... from architecture, topology, support models, maintenance, troubleshooting runbooks, deployment cookbooks, disaster recovery, testing, etc.
• Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to coworkers.
• Experience with process control, technical documentation & compliance procedures.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years Network Engineering and administration experience.
• Experience with network security, authentication and identity for wired and wireless 802.1X clients; Preferred background with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
• Experience of Cisco ISE deployment and configuration.
• Experience with various network hardware including switching, routing equipment & routing protocols.
• Experience with wireless and security services and protocols.
• Experience with PKI and Certificate Authority.
• Experience of working with Cisco TrustSec architecture
