I have been doing a lot of visualization of how my butterfly swim will go when the Four Amigos swim the Vienna Woods 11-12 boys on July 11.

Here comes Roger Williams doing breaststroke.  Remember to take a deep breath on the dive.  Spring out with great vigor in order not to hit Roger  (he is 6'4").

Don't do a hit-flat-racing dive like we were taught as kids.  Dive in deep and do 5 or 6 dolphin kicks. Streamline. Remember to do butterfly, not freestyle. 

Etc.---  you all know what I am talking about, so I won't bore you with any further details, but.....

The other day I had a thought---I need an edge.  These 11-12's are going to be very fast. 

So, I have devised a psychological tool that will enhance my performance.  I call it  MUSIC-i-ZATION.

I am dedicating my swim to the Beatles.  I will sing parts of Beatles songs as I swim.  This will help me go faster.

She loves you yeah yeah yeah

She loves you yeah yeah yeah

And with a love like that 

You know you should be glad

Then--   How could I dance with another, ooooh 

              When I saw her standing there, 

Then--    All you need is love 

               Love, love , love

               Love is all you need

Then--   I need another song--- a really good one.  I will be dead tired-- 3 or 4 strokes to go.

Any ideas for a song that will "bring it on home" / inspire me to finish fast ?

It doesn't have to be a Beatles song.  But it has to be a really great great song.

Be still my feet---the 60's were such a great time for music

I urge the other Amigos to  adapt my strategy of MUSIC-i-ZATION and let us all know their songs
