Open up the attachment and you will see the "out of the box of normal life experiences" that I recently had. It has to do with History.
I made friends with a Harvard History professor named Niall Ferguson and got to be one of his proofreaders for his recent biography on Henry Kissinger. It came out Sept. 29
This is really heady stuff for us college History majors. All I ever wanted to be was a college history professor but took a 35 year detour in 1980 and became a lawyer.
Niall's book is Volume 1 of Henry's life 1923 to 1968. Volume 2 will be 1969 to the present. Henry is still alive. He is 92
Google Niall Ferguson. He is 51 years old, 15 books. He is the smartest person I have ever known.
So, it may not be 15 minutes of fame, but it sure is 6 words of fame ("Jim Dickson kindly read the proofs")
The book is 878 pages. Perhaps a stocking stuffer for a precocious grandchild?
