28-year-old catcher engaged

 

Twins star Joe Mauer is no longer a catch. The 28-year-old All-Star catcher is now engaged to be married. Dustin Morse with the Minnesota Twins Baseball Communications office confirmed the rumor on Twitter tonight. “Congrats to Joe Mauer who informs me he recently got engaged,” Morse posted on his @Twins_morsecode Twitter page. It seems blogger and sports broadcaster Lindsay Guntzel was one of the first with the news. She posted her congratulations to Mauer online. “A big congrats to Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer who made it official with his girlfriend Maddie Bisanz over the weekend,” Guntzel writes. She says the lucky woman attended Cretin-Derham Hall with Mauer. No word on when the two will get married or where they’ll say their vows.
