Hi Friends,

I'm doing Load testing using Distribution testing concept.
Current situation is like.
  1. I'm using 3 system (Including Master)
  2. I have 4 Scenario need to be executed
  3. Want to test with 400 users load ( each machine should carry 100 users, dividing 100 users within 4 scenario as 25,25,25,25 users)
  4. Each scenario has 3 links.
  5. No login and logout concept is there.
  6. Each link is just static page only
  7. Planning to set ramp-up time is 3 to 4 sec.
Added JMeterPlugins.jar
Using JMeter 2.7 Version.

Please could any one give me deep settings how to set users, loop, ramp-up time... and also which listner would be good to know users load information, so that my 4 scenario will for 1 or 2 hrs to know how much user can handle my server ?

I would be very much thanks if anyone could help on this.

Regards,
Neerajkumar

There is no plugin specific in your case, as I see... Am I missing something?

Hi

I'm using JmeterPlugins-0.5.4.

Additional information, Hope it will help my situation.

Current situation is connection with remote machines and configuration is done and slave machine are connecting also.. but thing is when i run script, Threads(users) are not getting ramp-up. 0/0 is always 0/0. if i run with same script with only one system then it ramp-up users and give proper result.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks and regards,
Neerajkumar

Use "Active threads Over Threads" listener and use the function ${__machineName()} in Thread group. It will display the number of threads each client creates

Hi Tharinda,

I'm new to Jmeter, I'm already using "Active Threads over times" and as u mentioned add function in Thread group but i could not find
where to add this function. Do i need to add in "User Defined Variables" or in Test Plan.. i'm using more than 5 slave machine including server.

Could u give what to enter if u don't mind.. ?

Neerajkumar

Hi Tharinda,

Thanks for your quick reply.. Now i can see machines graph..
One more doubt i have..

when i run only one machine.. i could see 5/5 with green bar.. and when i run distribution test.. i could see 0/0 with green bar..
Is there any problem.. or i need to do some settings to see 5/5 when distribution testing run..

i have attached screenshot for both case..

  • Any suggestion for report.. we only want to see how much user can handle by server..
  • other graphs also will display all the data for each machine.. right..?

i could see 0/0 with green bar:

Jmeter cannot display this when it comes to distributed mode IIRC. correct me if I'm wrong

Any suggestion for report.. we only want to see how much user can handle by server..

Use assertion with threshold values for response time /error rate against growing user load . ex: set max response time for a given request/transaction / set a error percentage- exceeding these values will disqualify your app

other graphs also will display all the data for each machine.. right..?

Do it and see..and let us know :)

>> I have run with one machine and with more machine..  Values are getting update in other reports...

Previously i was loading 5 scenarios with different links in 5 machines.. now distribution concept is working fine.. then.. any suggestion on this how to run 5 scenarios using distribution concept...?

how can I do...?
    machine 1 - scenario -1
machine 2 - scenario -2... and so on.. using distribution concept..

Thanks
Neerajkumar

distributed mode used for load generating purpose- to you get the help of extra load generating machines. Nothing to do with your scenarios. Just create one test plan with all the scenarios and run in the master machine. Your salves will give you the required load
