Role Description: |
• Facility Maintenance - Implements, and manages the physical placement of technology to maximize floor space, interconnectivity cabling,and power. Recommends plans that support DC needs. Liaises with Corporate Real Estate concerning communication, coordination andplanning of server room electrical, HVAC, lighting, fire protection, leak detection, and other building facility needs as appropriate. • Space Planning - Ensures data center facilities and server rooms are physically functional and that space is efficiently utilized. Manages theplacement of technology and equipment that maximizes floor space. Maintains and updates current schematics or inventories of server roomspace, including racks, cables, power feeds, hardware, etc. • Operations Support - Provides continuous technical support for the data center. Maintains operations including, but not limited to: direct customerand peer interface, vendor management, asset management, operational reliability and predictability, project support, administrative support, shippingand receiving coordination, and audit compliance. • Coordination - Serves as the point of contact and coordinator for all site activities. Works closely with data center management and stakeholders onissues, updates, and non-intrusive maintenance windows or DC changes. |

Essential Skills: |
• Asset management and equipment knowledge of Data center hardware, power, and cooling including working knowledge of cabling or fiber standards, vendors,electrical power balancing, and the ability to use facility tools• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information• Ability to work weekends, evening hours, or extended days as operational needs dictate. |
