260 degrees is outside of what I'd ever recommend your put the temperature of your extruder to, and may in fact damage the machine. Please do not ever raise the temperature above 240 or so.

The first thing to do is to check what firmware you are running. Turn the bot off and then on again- The Firmware version should flash on the LCD screen. For a Replicator 2X you should be running Firmware version 7.2. If this isn't the case, please update the firmware through MakerWare.

Next, unload the filament from both of the extruders, turn the machine off and unplug it. Using the 2.5 mm hex key included in your kit, loosen the 4 silver bolts on the bottom front of the extruder fan until you can wriggle the motor assembly back and out from the machine. Make sure to unplug the motor cables from the tops of the motors as well.

Once you have the two motors and drive blocks separate from the machine, I'd like you to take a look at each one individually and do the following:
2ã€ã®ã¢ãŒã¿ãŒãšãã·ã³ãšãã©ã€ãã®ãããã¯ãæ©æ¢°ããåé¢ãããŠãããããããã®éšåãåå¥ã«èŠããããã«ããŠãããäžèšã®æäœãå®è¡ããŠãã ãããïŒ
Using the 2 mm hex key, carefully remove the two silver bolts holding the black plastic drive block assembly from the motor and set it aside. You may see some stray filament covering the drive gear and drive block assembly. You can clean the drive gear pretty easily with a toothbrush or some canned air. At this point, check to see that the drive gear is set 4.9 mm up on the motor shaft. I'm attaching a picture of what space I'm referring to. Tighten up the set screw holding the drive gear onto the motor with the 1.5 mm hex key so it is nice and snug.

Next you're going to want to put the drive block back onto the motor. The way you do this is very important, and different for both extruders.

-For the right extruder, you're going to want to hold the assembly in a way so that you are putting pressure from the right side of the drive block while screwing in the two silver bolts.

To clarify, I'm attaching pictures demonstrating the correct way to do this. The reason you're going to want to push from certain sides on the drive block while tightening the screws on is so that it is aligned correctly and can extrude without any issues.

At this point I'd like you to turn the bot on again and preheat the extruders while the motors are removed. Once they reach 230 c, cut a piece of filament with a straight edge and push it directly through the thermal barrier tube. I like to use a pair of pliers to do this so I get optimal force and so I don't run the risk of touching the extruder with my hands while it is hot. Force the filament through until you see filament extruding from the nozzle, and then yank the filament out from the top again. Cut the edge clean with some snips or a wire cutter and repeat the process until little force is required to push the filament through.

Lastly, I'd like you to check the tension on the extruders. Locate the brass nut on the top of extruder and push the filament load lever to the closed position. Insert the 2 mm hex key into the brass nut and tighten it up until you are unable to open the load lever with moderate force. Be sure you do not force the lever open at this point or over-tighten the screw otherwise it may cause damage to the spring inside the drive block mechanism. Slowly loosen the brass screw until you are just able to open the load lever again. A little bit of resistance is good here. At this point, the tension is set at the ideal point for extrusion.
