Greetings,
I don't have any immediate gigs to announce, but here's what some friends and colleagues are up to in the new year:
Doing Our Own Work Anti-Racism Seminar. The good folks at
Allies For Change in Lansing are bringing their most excellent training for white people to Ann Arbor this spring. It's 3 weekends--March, April May. I took this training last year, and recommend it highly. "Doing Our Own Work helps white people move through places where we often get stuck, so that we can step up with courage, humility, and compassion to participate in movements led by people of color and help move other white people to greater anti-racist awareness and action. Enrollment is limited to 20 people." Scholarships are available.
My next gig, actually, is for staff at U-M: a half-day training on "
The Zen of Meeting Facilitation." Meanwhile, Harmony Bones is working on a recording project. Stay tuned--and we will too!
As we approach the turning of the year, here's a wish and a prayer from John O'Donohue:
May all that is unforgiven in you be released.
May your fears yield their deepest tranquilities.
May all that is unlived in you blossom into a future graced with love.
So may it be!
Peace,
Jeanne Mackey
