Songs of Time & Changes.
My band
Harmony Bones is returning to
Cafe' 704 on
Saturday, March 11, 8 pm. 704 Airport Blvd. Such a treat to make music with Laz Slomovits, Linda Teaman, Tom Voiles, & Eric Fithian. And hey, we've got wonderful harmonies and a plethora of folk instruments: fiddle, guitar, banjo, accordion, uilleann pipes, bodran, sitar, flute, pennywhistle, banjo-uke.
Here's a clip from our recent Gifts of Art gig at the U-M hospital. The song: "Keep your lamp trimmed and burning, 'cause this old world still needs a little help!"
And yeah, I was lucky enough to play for 11,000 good souls at the Ann Arbor Women's March, with my pals Mary Wilson, Linda Teaman, Beth Barclay, and Eric Fithian!. "What's New, Pussyhat?!"
A few more quotes:
- "Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes--including you." --Anne Lamott
- "If you're going through hell, keep going." --Winston Churchill
- "I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once." --Ashleigh Brilliant
Peace & power,
Jeanne
