to Jeanne Mackey's Upcoming Events--
Greetings,

Our band Harmony Bones is playing at Cafe' 704 on Saturday, March 10. Details to follow, but just wanted to get this on your calendars!

Harmony Bones is a band of Ann Arbor folk music scene veterans. We are Laz Slomovits (of "Gemini") Tom Voiles, Linda Teaman & John Lloyd (of "Nutshell"), Jeanne Mackey, and Eric Fithian. Our sound features rich vocal harmonies on traditional, contemporary and original songs, with an array of instruments — guitar, mandolin, flute, pennywhistle, fiddle, accordion, banjo, banjo ukulele, bass, drums — even sitar! The name, " Harmony Bones," comes from an acupuncture point that harmonizes imbalances and promotes clarity.

Come sing with us! Music and gathering with kindred spirits--a cure for the winter blues and existential angst! Here's a sample of our music

I'll close with a quote from one of my all-time favorite writers and rabblerousers. Can't believe she's gone!

“All of us have to learn how to invent our lives, make them up, imagine them. We need to be taught these skills; we need guides to show us how. If we don’t, our lives get made up for us by other people.”
—Ursula K. Le Guin

cheers,
Jeanne Mackey
