Greetings,
Winter has truly arrived in SE Michigan! I wrote a blog post on winter's wisdom last month that you might enjoy.
Singing together is one way to stay warm this time of year. I'm hosting a community sing-along at Crazy Wisdom on Wednesday, January 27. I'm a big fan of the Rise Up Singing songbook, and am so pleased that Annie Patterson and Ann Arborite Peter Blood have released a new edition. Here's the scoop:
In the meantime, hope I'll see you at some of the excellent events celebrating the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Here's the info about U-M events. Alicia Garza, who initiated #BlackLivesMatter, Desmond Tutu's daughter, and lots of other great speakers and performances!

community sing-along features songs complied by Peter Blood and Annie
Patterson with lyrics to over 1200 songs from the Beatles to ballads,
Bob Dylan to Broadway. The Rise Again song book is available
for purchase at Crazy Wisdom. The workshop promises to shake off the
winter blues with all levels of singing - shower singers welcome. Free.
