• My band Harmony Bones (with Laz Slomovits, Linda Teaman, Tom Voiles & Eric Fithian) will play in the Tearoom next Friday, 12/11, 8:30-10:30. We'll have some seasonal favorites (like "California Dreamin') and a cool version of "Abilene" featuring banjo and sitar--and much more. Come warm your heart & your toes with us! • Next month (Wednesday, 1/27, 7 pm), I'm leading a community sing in the Crazy Wisdom community room to celebrate the arrival of Rise Up--the latest, greatest edition of Rise Up Singing compiled by Peter Blood (who grew up in Ann Arbor) and Annie Patterson, with lyrics to over 1200 songs--from Beatles to ballads, and Bob Dylan to Broadway.
