Greetings,
In response to the devastation caused by the fires in Australia, my friend and bandmate Laz Slomovits
wrote a prayer song for rain. Our band, Harmony Bones
(Laszlo Slomovits, Linda Teaman, Tom Voiles, John Lloyd, yours truly, and Eric Fithian), recorded the song, Tom Voiles, who engineered and produced the recording, added a video component. The song is a lovely way to send blessings to
Australia, and to all other places on Earth that are burning.
Feel free to forward this on to others who may be interested.
And here's a reminder from one of my heroes, Howard Zinn:
“To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness....
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.”

Peace & persistence,
