JLSA Board Meeting + THREE Upcoming Events

Hi JLSA Board,

 

I hope all of you are doing well! I want to let you know about three upcoming events (which Hannah and I really, really hope you can all attend), and start the process of finding a mutually convenient time for our first JLSA Board meeting of the semester. Flyers are attached!

 

1.       Our first JGrads Friday Night dinner is THIS Friday 2/1/13, at the Carlton Hotel (88 Madison Ave) at 7:00 PM. It’s free for current students, $36 for non-students, and registration is via Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/events/529427737081994/. We really hope you can all make it, and regardless, be sure to tell your friends!

 

2.       The second event is a Welcome Back Happy Hour sponsored by UJA-Federation of New York’s Law Student Division. It’s next Wednesday, 2/6/13 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Village Pourhouse (64 3^rd Ave at East 11^th Street). I’ve attached an info sheet about UJA and their work. The event will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about UJA and the resources they offer, and to meet other Jewish law students in New York City. I will be attending, and it would great if you could too!

 

3.       The third event is a talk by AIPAC’s Scott Dubin, and is taking place right here in Room 303, next Thursday, 2/7/13 from 12:30-2:00 PM. It’s called “JLSA Presents: Status of the U.S.-Israel Relationship: Challenges Ahead” and yes, lunch will be served.

 

FINALLY, here are several time/date options for our first board meeting. Please email me directly (gila....@gmail.com) to let me know what times work for you, and I will email everyone again with the final date/time.

 

1.       Thursday 1/31/13 in the 12:30-2PM time slot

2.       Friday 2/1/13 in the morning/early afternoon

3.       Monday 2/4/13 after 4PM

4.       Tuesday 2/5/13 in the 12:30-2PM time slot

5.       Wednesday 2/6/13 in the 4-6PM time slot

6.       Friday 2/7/13 in the morning/early afternoon

I am in for the dinner and bringing a bunch of friends so hope to see lots of you there. I am mostly bringing girls and there seem to be more girls rsvped so feel free to increase the male presence ppl ;)!
