EMERGENCIES
When an emergency occurs, take a deep
breath. Count to 10. Tell yourself you can handle the situation.
Check for danger. Protect yourself and the injured person from fire,
explosions, or other hazards. If you think the person has a spinal injury, do
not move him or her unless the danger is great.
If the person is unconscious or does not respond to your voice or touch, be ready to start CPR. (See the CPR )

1. BLEEDING ---
The best way to check bleeding from wound is compression [pressure] and ice
pack ..Press the wound tightly for 4 to
6 minutes, don’t check the wound very frequently..Wait for 5 min.....
meanwhile
rush to nearby medical center and at time of transport maintain the compression
on wound.
Remember ,blood in cough and vomiting ,should be considered acute emergency for investigating yourself..
2. High grade fever [hyperthermia]—Crocin
works below 103* F temp. Fever more than this should be deal with ice packs along
with crocin .Children are at high risk with high fever ,now a days patient
is lied in tub of ice water to reduce fever.
3. PAIN ABDOMEN---
Mostly its spasmodic pain, always keep anti spasmodic at home like BUSCOPAN ,MEFTAL SPAS .if not corrected
,investigation required ..
4. Diarrhea, Vomiting
& dehydration –in severity ,,Correction of fluid loss , sodium [salt],potassium
& sugar is the priority .Patient many times collapses not because of
infection but due to dehydration .. ORS , ELECTRAL Powder with plenty of fluid can be life saving.
At home if nothing is available then –water with sugar and salt is best
alternative..
Mouth dissolving anti vomiting tablets
like ZOFER- MD are very effective .
mean while visit nearby med. Center for
Treatment..
5. CHEST PAIN [
mainly concern with left side ]– COMMON CAUSES OF CHEST PAIN ARE
-Heart disease
-Lung disease
-Gastritis
-Muscular ,etc
Someone having a heart attack may experience any or all of the following:
· Uncomfortable pressure, fullness or squeezing pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes
· Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms
· Lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath
The
earliest warning sign of an attack may be ongoing episodes of chest pain that
start when you're physically active, but are relieved by rest.
FOR 30 PLUS,,,
AT FIRST HEART AND LUNG DIESEASES should be ruled out by simple ECG & X-RAY
CHEST..
IF pain is severe or hospital is not near, take deep breaths with loud cough ,
take TAB DISPRIN with OMEZ [anta acid ],and
keep sorbitrate below tongue if
there is any history of HIGH BP ,OR FAMILY HISTORY OR PREVIOUS HEART DISEASE ….
PRESS LEFT OF YOUR CHEST WITH FIST ,WITH LOUD COUGHING AND DEEP BREATHS & RUSH TO NEAR BY HOSPITAL… THIS CAN SAVE
HEART ATTACK ,IF IT IS ….
Most of the time the pain may be due to acidity and gastritis but to be on safe side-------- high BP and
heart disease should be ruled out….
