JLayout + jQuery UI Sortable

While using the border layout, I'm trying to drag a sortable element
from the center over to a droppable area on the west; regardless of
what z-index changes I'm making, the ui.item object always disappears
behind the west part.

Do you have any recommendations on how I can fix this?

Hi Ben,

Do you have an example page somewhere? This should be working. The
only problem I can think of with dragging the center element is that
it is a required element, so the layout might break if you move it
somewhere else.

I figured it out; by appending the element to the BODY of the page I
was able to overcome the zIndex issue.
