What is the recommended JVM version for GroovyLab.
My first attempts to launch the software on a Windows 8 workstation with JDK 1.7.51 64x have been unsuccessful with java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError
Also, could you provide some basic installation and first time use information. If it is available on the wiki I have not been able  to find it.

Thanks and best regards
Ioannis

Hi Ioannis,

indeed that version had problems with Java 7, since I compiled it with Java 8.

Since I feel is rather early to switch to Java 8,
I uploaded today (29 March) a new version compiled with Java 7,
that I think it should work.

...could you  inform me if all is O.K.,  if you try the new version ?

Best Regards
Stergios

Thanks for the recompile in Java 7. It now works just fine.
It may be useful to provide some additional installation requirements (such as version of SDK) with each of the releases.

Best regards
