Stergios, it seems that you have done lots of hard work in providing an integration environment for the many Java scientific and numerical libraries out there in GroovyLab.
It also seems that you are in an academic environment that perhaps requires you to train a new generation of Greek scientists and engineers.

Given these two observations, I would be interested in your thoughts about developing a Groovy Notebook similar to IPython Notebook for GroovyLab.

IPython Notebooks are a great teaching and sharing tool and provide good support for reproducible research. One of the drawbacks of the tool is that it is Python centric and as such makes the use of scientific and engineering Java and other language libraries difficult.

In my search for a similar Groovy Notebook I have stumbled upon the now emerging Beaker project, so I wanted to hear your thoughts whether GroovyLab can be used/adapted for a similar purpose. It seems that the accumulation of numerical examples code in the wiki would be better presented in this notebook style.

Best regards
