For those of u intending to follow all the way, its potentially a 3-4 hour hike so do be prepared with enough water, food/energy bar, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent and anything else you're used to having on a long hike.

For those not following all the way, we will inform you the right time/place to bail out (back to the tarmac loop). Your safety and well-being is #1 !

Greetings to our members and well wishers,
here's an event that should interest you - an opportunity to do something for the long suffering animals of Bukit Kiara

FENCE WALK ON SATURDAY 10th JUNE 2017

Place: gather at Taman Bukit Kiara Lower Guardhouse, Changkat Abang Hj Openg  (GPS N 3.1439338, E 101.633325)
Time: 0800 hrs on Saturday 10th June

PURPOSE : to observe animal (principally reptile) migration paths that are obstructed by the TABB Fence, and to pinpoint/catalogue the exact locations where additional openings should be provided, based upon:
              - Actual animal sightings during this walk
              - Previous sightings by participants at specific/recognizable fence locations
              - 'Technical' observations based on knowledge of animal habitat and behaviours

EXPERTISE : Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) reptile expert/s will be in attendance

In our on-going dialogue with JLN we have been informed that their department is open to the idea of revisiting the numbers/locations of animal crossing points. This activity is intended to generate a Memorandum to JLN to recommend additional fence openings.

To all who have been championing the right of animals to unhindered migration in their natural habitat, we look forward to your attendance and inputs
