Hello,

I've been at this for a few hours, and am finally giving in...

I'm running JIRA 3.11 Enterprise. I've downloaded and and installed 1.0 RC 5 dashboard sharing plugin. I've configured the two properties files and restarted JIRA. In the Admin/plugins page, the plugin shows up:

JIRA Dashboard Sharing Plugin
Description: Allows users to share their dashboards with other users.
Vendor: Daily Development
Plugin Version: 1.0
Jira Version: 3.11
Disable plugin

So all seems to be good. Except I cannot figure out how to share my dashboard. Or more specifically, how to have another user within the group access the shared dashboard. What should I see? Where should I be looking?

Can anyone please help? What other information do I need to provide?

Many thanks,
w.

Hi Will,

that's strange. The reason can be that your configuration of shared
dashboards is wrong. So please check that the name of owner of the
dashbord, dashboard's ID and group's name are correct. Also remember
that user will see new shared dashboards after relogin. Do not forget
to configure portal management (see user documentation -
http://code.google.com/p/jira-dashboard-sharing/wiki/JiraDashboardSharing)
for user who want to see shared dashboards.

You can also try is to add following line into log4j.properties file
and then analyse log or send it to me and I will check it for you.

log4j.category.com.dailydev = DEBUG, filelog

BTW I am working on 1.1 version which will provide user interface for
dashboard sharing.

Have a nice day, bosy
