AUGUST 16TH2015
Dear Sisters,A new Relief Society Presidency was called this past Sunday. Our new president is Cheryl Parkinsons, and her First Counselor is Elizabeth Eggett. They truly care about us and look forward to serving in the branch.
This Week’s Lesson: Combined Relief Society & PriesthoodChapter 15: The Sacred Callings of Fathers and MothersTeachings of the Presidents of the Church: Ezra Taft Benson“May we be faithful to this great obligation of parenthood, this sacred obligation.”1. A fathers calling is eternal2. Fathers provide spiritual leadership in their families.3. A mother’s role is ordained by God.4. Mother’s should love, teach, and spend effective time with their children.

- Take time to be a real friend to your children and really listen to them.
- Take time to read to your children
- Take time to pray with your children.
- Take time to have a meaningful weekly family home evening
- Take time to be together at mealtimes as often as possible
- Take time daily to read the scriptures together
- Take time to do things as a family
- Take time to teach your children
- Take time to truly love your little children and your older children.
