Dear Ladies,On December 20, 2013, I officially let the Library know that "Shanghai LDS Relief Society" was the organization that has been doing the English Story Time for past one and a half years. I felt so good to have LDS Relief Society take the credit instead of my foreigner friends . I got the permission from President Dyer. Please sign up for the upcoming readings.01/1101/1801/2502/08 Tiffany Allred
I'm wanting to sign up but have no children’s books. Would anyone be willing to share some books with me?

Hey all you gorgeous gals on this group-
I just wanted to give a plug for Library time- this is a very fun thing to do, and Tami has supported it sooooo faithfully for the few years that I have been here. She goes EVERY SATURDAY to help translate when necessary (which is usually) and we go only once or twice a year. This is a great way to do community service and to interact with sweet Chinese kids who are only too eager to show off their few words of English.
It is not difficult to do, it is only about 35-40 minutes. You think of a theme you like or your kids like - (trucks, animals, colors, winter, holiday) and find a few books from your house that you think are appropriate (simple). Print some pictures from the internet, and/or think of a few songs that are fun to sing that might go with the theme (or not, it doesn't really matter). Anything you do is appreciated. I know Tami really needs someone this SATURDAY, and several other days the next few months. I hope you will all consider taking a turn. Love, Tiffany
