JULY 26TH2015
May’s fifth Sunday Combined Priesthood & Relief Society Lesson focused on planning for a wholesome summer by including work, worship, and play in our family routines this summer. Each week we will focus on a topic related to that lesson. If you would like to share how you are meeting these goals this summer, email me and I will place your comments in this column. What are you doing with your goals to include worship in your summer plans? Is there a temple near any of your summer destinations? Why not take the family to the temple grounds or the visitor’s center to feel the peace and joy that is found near the temple? I felt so blessed to have an opportunity to recharge spiritually at the temple. I hope you will have the opportunity too.
This Week’s Lesson: Combined Relief Society & PriesthoodChapter 13: Priceless Blessings of the House of the LordTeachings of the Presidents of the Church: Ezra Taft BensonI’m not sure what the lesson was in Shanghai this week, but the lesson in San Jose was this beautiful lesson about the blessings of the temple."It is in the temples that we obtain God’s greatest blessings pertaining to eternal life. Temples are really the gateways to heaven”1. Temples are symbols of all we hold dear.2. We need temple ordinances and covenants in order to enter the fullness of the priesthood and prepare to regain God’s presence.3. Through temple ordinances and covenants, we can receive protection and God’s greatest blessings pertaining to eternal life.4. We have the privilege of opening the doors of salvation to our ancestors.5. Children and youth need to learn about the blessings that await them in the temple.6. Increased temple attendance leads to increased personal revelation. Scriptures
Next Week’s Lesson: Combined Relief Society & PriesthoodChapter 14: Marriage and Family—Ordained of GodTeachings of the Presidents of the Church: Ezra Taft Benson“The family is one of God’s greatest fortresses against the evils of our day. Help keep your family strong and close and worthy of our Father in Heaven’s blessings."總會會長的教訓:泰福‧彭蓀, (2014), ⅹⅹ
