Cecily Campbell is a 3rd generation Knight from Housman, one of the cities of the Independent Trade Cities, a democratic federation of cities. As her grandfather was one of the founders of the Independent Trade Cities, she is proud of her heritage and wishes to protect her city as a knight, like her father and grandfather before her. One day, she fights a mad veteran of the war causing trouble in the market, and, inexperienced and outmatched, faces defeat. But she is saved by a mysterious blacksmith named Luke Ainsworth. Cecily is impressed by Luke's katana, a weapon she has never seen before, and asks him to make one for her. Her involvement with Luke will bring her to an adventure she never expected.

This leads to her almost being overwhelmed in a battle, if not for the timely intervention of a blacksmith named Luke Ainsworth. Ainsworth wields an incredible katana, the likes of which Cecily has never seen before. After being saved by him on multiple occasions, she becomes enamored with him and yearns to learn more about the standoffish warrior, as well as develop her own skills to match his.

My call is the Temple Guardian. He's sort of hard to level up, but he makes up for it big time. Besides, the TG has the most useful utility skills - blacksmithing, bargaining, enhanced perception. Complement it with Tactics lore, Armor lore, Weapon lore, Concentration, Constitution, Warding lore and some aspect (or another defensive skill) and you can level him up easily even all by himself (without help).

Cecily Cambell, a Knight Guard of the Independent Trade Cities of Housman, is new to her job of keeping the peace in the Heroic Fantasy world she inhabits. She soon meets Luke Ainsworth, an exceptionally skilled blacksmith who is the only one who can make katanas, along with his overly cute Elfish apprentice Lisa. Circumstances soon conspire to reveal Luke has a very unusual and magical way of forging swords; a talent desired by the nearby empire, and that's not all. Demons appear in the Trade Cities along with swords that harness the powers of nature. All three are rooted in the recent Valbanill War, which might not be quite over yet....

Cecily Campbell is a knight, like her father and grandfather before her. She has sworn a pact to defend the city of Housman from all those who threaten it, but her resolve is shaken when her heirloom sword breaks during her first battle. She is saved by Luke Aisnworth, a blacksmith bearing an impossibly sharp sword and incredible skill. Cecily is determined to have Luke reforge her sword, but both of them are put to the test when a routine fight with some bandits becomes a desperate fight against demons.

Cecily may be the protagonist, but she's never given an opportunity to be a heroine in her own right. She's always ready and willing to fight, but every time the rug is metaphorically pulled out from under her so that she can be saved by the story's true hero: Luke. Luke is not just the titular blacksmith, but also the one with the legendary weapon and big, flashy fight scenes. He's the one who gets to save the day while Cecily gets to stand by in awe and occasionally give an assist.

It's frustrating because Luke is not a bad character taken on his own. He's a little more reserved, snarky, and sad, and he serves as a good contrast to Cecily's earnestness. He's a talented blacksmith, even if this talent seems to mostly exist for him to espouse the glories of Traditional Japanese Swordmaking. It's just not fair to either of them that Luke gets put on a pedestal while Cecily is on par with Luke's elven assistant.

Powerful advisors from all over the xontinent gather in Housman for the top secret "Valbanill Meetings." The inhuman Valbanill will soon break free from its prison, unless the Sacred Blade can be forged anew. All eyes are on Luke, as he is the only blacksmith who knows the secret technique of forging a katana, passed down through the centuries from father to son.

The Sacred Blacksmith, is a Japanese light novel series by Isao Miura, with illustrations by Luna. A 12 episode anime adaptation by Manglobe studios aired from October 3, 2009 to December 19, 2009.

Plot: 44 years ago, a great war known as the Valbanill War ravaged the land. One of the war's most dangerous weapons was the Demon Contract, where humans sacrifice their bodies to become powerful demons. Realizing the damage the contracts have caused the land, the surviving nations made peace and banned the use of the Demon contracts.

Luke Ainsworth
Voiced by: Nobuhiko Okamoto (Japanese), Blake Shepard (English)
The titular character is a blacksmith of great skill and renown and is also a talented swordsman. Possessing dark brown hair and blue eyes with his left eye made of glass, he is arrogant, private and often insensitive to others. He lives with Lisa, who aids him in his work and often accompanies him on his business. He comes to know Cecily after saving her repeatedly from certain death. Luke wields a Japanese katana and employs a unique sword-fighting style, which is uncommon in a land where most people use a longsword and shield. He also possesses extraordinary blacksmith skills, as well as the magical ability to forge a katana in the midst of a battle.

The Sacred Blacksmith tells the story of Cecily Campbell, and her breasts, who became a knight after the sudden death of her father. When looking for a blacksmith to repair her sword she meets the rude and impatient Luke Ainsworth, who wants nothing to do with her, and his young assistant Lisa. After an attack from mysterious monsters, Cecily is tasked with guarding a Demon Sword, and the group try to figure out what could be behind the attack.
