IKO-IKO celebrates 25 years of original Blues, Rock and "Swampadelic" music on Halloween night at Hoodoo Voodoo Ball in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Miami, FL -- October 23, 2008: South Florida's own award-winning "urban swampadelic" band, Graham Wood Drout & IKO IKO celebrate their twenty-fifth anniversary with a very special concert event that features the band's current lineup as well as some special guests. 

In addition to the concert, the original artwork of lead singer, Graham Wood Drout, will be on display, plus performances by Albert Castiglia, The Knucklebusters and Rudy. The anniversary event is centered around the 9th annual Hoodoo Voodoo Ball that will offer a Halloween costume contest, special raffle items and lots of special surprises.

About Iko-Iko:
Highlighting his more than 25-year career, Graham Wood Drout has received Song of The Year honors from The Blues Critics Choice Awards for his song, The Ghosts of Mississippi, that appeared on his acoustic CD with Albert Castiglia, The Bittersweet Sessions, as well as releases by Albert Castiglia and Joey Gilmore that won both of those artists accolades as well. After five national CD releases and travel across the globe, the band continues to amaze audiences with musicianship, original songwriting, and a host of cameo performances by some major names in music today. 

Iko-Iko has appeared on HBO, MTV, CBS' 60 Minutes, NPR's Blues Stage, and in the films Scorsese's "Cape Fear" starring Robert DeNiro as well as Zemeckis' "Contact" with Jodi Foster. In addition, the band was hand-picked to work with Jimmy Buffett, Bo Diddley and many others. Past members of Iko-Iko have gone on to work with Ricky Martin, Stevie Wonder, Pam Tillis, Tom Jones, Don Henley, The Mavericks, and many, many others.

Graham Wood Drout and Iko Iko was awarded Best Blues Band and Songwriter of the Year from New Times Magazine and a Jammy Award for Best Blues Band. The band has performed with music legends of all styles including Ron Wood, Muddy Waters, Ivan Neville and more.
