POS software

Dear all,

As per the decision of our last meeting held at Kolabagan, we contacted a software vendor. Accordingly Sugata and I attended a demo session yesterday. Thanks Sugata bhai for your time.

The vendor will prepare another customised version as per our instruction and requirement. But we told him to wait till Sunday 26 April for our signal before he starts preparing customised version.

The purchase price is tk 25, 000 and we felt that we should continue to receive after sale service for 3 months. The after sale service charge is tk 1000 per month.

We can use it both for the JSS and Bata through networking, but i suggest to use it for JSS now. It has the option for both online and standalone use and new features can be upgraded in future.

As we need to inform him our decisions by Sunday 26 Apr may I request everyone to send in comments or suggestion if any by 4pm Sunday 26 Apr please?

Dear Kanchan and other Directors,

 

Thanks for your mail. In addition to your mail, I would like to mention that apart from purchasing POS software, we also need two computers (existing one may not be suitable) if we would like to include two shops under this POS architecture. So we need at least TK 80,000 or above just for procuring two computers and they suggested to have internet modem connection as well and the entry to be done in online so, altogether I guess we need to invest approximately TK 110,000 or more for this initiative. Now, we need to seriously think whether this investment is really worth it given the fact that our profit margin is so minimal. This is your call now expecting to receive responses from other members, as Kanchan bhai said that he has to inform him by today whether he should go ahead to work on customized demo software.

Dear Sugata bhai and all,

Thank you everyone for the insightful thoughts and comments. By reading the messages of the poeple, it seems that we need to wait for some time to get some fund mobilized to procure hardware.

I already notified the softwate vendor our negative respose before he would start customization.

Please let me know if any of you have any comments or suggestion.
