Permissions for sudoers file

I'm facing a problem due to which my entire project progress is stalled.

sudoers file permissions should be -r--r-----
But they are -r--r----@ as per "ls -l" command

Using mac OS X. chmod 440 in su mode/recovery mode do not give results.
whenever I use sudo command, I get an error : 
"sudo: parse error in /etc/sudoers near line 45

sudo: no valid sudoers sources found, quitting"
