I have seen many, many articles on this over the last year, but no solutions. I have THREE Amazon Fire Stick devices. I bought them all at the same time and installed them on three similar TVs last week. I attempted to install the Apple TV app on all three.
I have since then tried every combination of restarts, powering down, etc., and have even done a factory reset twice. This one Fire Stick device will not load the app with the QR code for me to sign in.
OK YOU GUYS I THINK IT MIGHT BE FIXED (I'm the original poster). I did NOT do yet another factory reset because I didn't want to sign into everything all over again, but after someone else suggested that this is an easy fix and simply required a little factory reset, I wondered if maybe there was a new update available. So I checked and I did see that there was a new update available today. So here's what I did (AND I AM IN! IT WORKED! I hope this was not just a fluke and that you guys can all get in, too):
6 - Once the app was installed, I opened it. It looked like it was going to make me log in again without a QR code, but I clicked on the "log in" button AND ALL THE ANGELS SANG AS A QR CODE POPPED UP ON MY SCREEN.
Wow. I thought i was losing my mind. I have this same issue. My older firestick has the QR code option to sign in.. but the new 4K firestick is the one not letting me sign in to apple plus. Its infuriating. I thought maybe i had too many devices ising apple plus. Tried removing anything I could.. no dice. I assume there is no fix and there is no point to calling anyone.
That is exactly what is happening to me. Exactly. I have been on the phone for HOURS with Amazon and Apple. They point the finger at each other. Meanwhile I can't watch AppleTV on my Firestick. This happened when I bought the new latest Firestick. It worked great on my old stick. All the other apps work fine. Apple is the only one that doesn't work. I'm so frustrated.
I had the exact same issue you reported... This is what eventually worked for me. (Pay close attention to step 3 - You need to check for updates twice, after doing the reset and before installing ANY apps).
If your Fire TV device is updated to its latest software version and you still see "Verification Failed" when trying to sign in to the Apple TV app, please contact Fire TV support for further assistance:
It was definitely the Firestick. Mine needed to be updated more than once because I was so behind in updates. So just because you do an update once it may not work. Keep going back to updates and make sure it says it's current. As soon as I got to the last update I got right on to the app.
I didn't got this message but my screen stuck too wit the sign in page... so I don't own any apple products so I called. I did create an apple ID. So they told me to download on my android apple music so I did. Then I try on my tv with the fire stick and it worked.
What you need to do is exit the TV app, open the Settings app, select Device -> About -> Software Version and then press the Check for System Update button. What you will probably find is there is a new update available; seemingly the Fire TV is very slow at notifying users about the need to update the operating system.
I'm trying to get the Dropbox app working on an Amazon fire stick. There's no way to do so via conventional means. That is, there doesn't appear to be a formal application release for the fire stick. But the fire stick is an Android device and one can install Dropbox "manually" (i.e., by allowing installation from external sources, finding an .apk and installling). When I do so, Dropbox indeed installs. I can even login. But after that, the menu buttons don't work and it's impossible to navigate. It's not functional at all. I'd love to hear if someone brighter than I has figured this out.
Yes, the problem persists after re-installing Dropbox on my fire stick. But I found a solution. Problem solved. I can navigate the Dropbox app on my fire stick if I install the Mouse Toggle for Fire TV app per these instructions. This little app turns the fire stick remote (after fast double-clicking the play button) into a mouse. Then with the mouse functionality enabled, I can scroll through and work with the Dropbox app on the fire stick without a problem. A second working solution is/was to install a third party file exploring app--one that lets one connect to a cloud storage account. At this writing, ES Explorer is Amazon's default suggested file management app. But I don't recommend it. It's pricey. I much prefer Solid Explorer where this version installed okay on my fire stick.

The most immediate issue with the above combination is that that the left nav bar in Dropbox doesn't work. I'm talking about the menu that appears after one clicks the three horizontal lines at the top-left of the Dropbox for Android home screen. I can click on those three horizonal lines and the nav bar opens. However, the (very faintly highlighted) selection is stuck on the "Home" option. I can't scroll to any of the other menu items such as Settings.
Is their anyway to play on a Amazon fire stick a subscription that I purchased through Roku?? I did a subscription with Roku cause I have more Roku devices in my home but in one room we have Amazon fire stick. I was wondering if their anyway to play the subscription on it??
It depends on the subscription. Some providers provide a way to get login credentials that you can use on other devices and some don't. Several months ago I went though the procedure for a Peacock subscription a family member took out through Roku. For that one, we attempted to log in on the Peacock website using the email address associated with the Roku account and chose the "forgot password" option. That allowed us to establish a new password and then we could take that email address and password and use it on other devices.
If you want to be able to use the subscription on multiple platforms, subscribe directly with the channel on its website. You'll than have an account with the channel, not with some third party, and you'll be able to view it on any platform supported by the channel -- via browser on a computer/phone/tablet, or on any streaming device or smart TV for which the channel has provided an app.
I just got a Fire TV 4K Max ($25 on Amazon for Prime members for a limited time) as a backup to the Roku's I have, just in case the Roku service has a meltdown. Had no real issues, beyond trying to remember the correct email/password, on all of my subscription services.
HI! I have a Samsung UN32EH4003F and get the "No Signal" when I choose HMDI which is where the Amazon firestick is plugged in. This model TV is not a Smart TV loaded with apps hence the reason why I'm using a firestick.
"No Streaming Device Connected detected. Your Fios TV package doesn't include a Streaming Device Connection, which is required to use this device to access your Fios TV service. You can go to to manage your account connections."
I can use the Fios TV app to live stream Fios TV to my Samsung phone AND to my laptop. Doesn't that mean I do have the Streaming Device Connection included in my account? How can I register and use my firestick just like my laptop? The Amazon Fire Stick is brand new, 3rd generation.
Unfortunately, the app is only compatible with devices running Fire OS 6 and 7. That means customers with 2nd-gen Fire TV Sticks, which make up the majority of Fire TV devices in the wild, do not have access to the app. Only Fire TV models released in or after 2017 and Fire TV Smart TVs released in or after 2018 are compatible. You say yours is Gen3, which should be compatible. Call billing and have them add the Firestick to your account. Then register it as a device in the home on the home network.
