Sprayon WL740 Zinc-Rich Galvanizing Compound is a high performance primer containing 97% pure zinc dust pigment blended with epoxy resin. Stops rust by electro-chemical action on steel or galvanized coatings. The self-sacrificing zinc protects the base metal, preserving strength and prevents rust creepage when the area is penetrated or scratched. This compound fuses zinc to the metal substrate and delivers protection against corrosion equal to or better than hot-dipped galvanizing.

For use in automotive, marine, nuclear facilities, power plants and refineries. To be used on industrial tanks, piping, welded joints, bridges, farm equipment, fences, wrought iron, gutters, structural steel, transmission towers, and galvanized surfaces.

ZINC 240 is a unique composition of epoxy modified alkyd resin and 100% pure zinc powder. Applied to all metals it creates a flexible but highly resistant and durable zinc-resin coating, which offers very good protection against corrosion by electro-chemical-effect. Even if the applied coating is scratched or damaged, ZINC 240 will provide protection against corrosion through a cathode-protection-effect between zinc and metal as well as insoluble alkaline products (zinc salts) which develop and protect the surface further against corrosion.
