Assalamu Alaikum UMCP Alumni,
I pray all is well. I’m writing to let you know about a remarkable event planned by the UMD MSA.
The Islamic Inspiration Summit and Banquet is an exploration of the role of faith in the lives of college students during and after college. The Summit brings together people, like yourself, who’ve been inspired by Islam to carve a unique path in their lives and careers.
The Summit will look and feel much like a TED conference. The speakers, most of whom are accomplished UMD alumni, will dig deep and share how Islam inspired their contributions in education, culture, and innovation.
I wanted to share this information with fellow alumni as we all believe in the idea this event is trying to spread: that Islam is, in fact, a source of inspiration to do good in the world and to be better people. I really hope you’ll make it out to the Summit because the quality of the audience, even more than that of the speakers, goes a long way to make the event a success.
The Summit will take place on April 14 at the Hoff Theater from 12pm - 6pm. Immediately after, the MSA invites you to join a banquet celebrating people, like yourself, who’ve shaped the legacy of our MSA and made it what it is today.

Hope to see you there inshaAllah.
Wasalaams,
