بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم
Assalamu-Alaikum,
On behalf of the Johns Hopkins University Muslim Association (JHUMA), we hope you, your family, and your loved ones are doing well.
JHUMA is a student-led organization striving to create a safe community for Muslims while educating the greater Johns Hopkins and Baltimore communities about Islam through awareness and interfaith events. However, in the past year, our financial support from university-allocated funds has been severely limited. The situation has worsened, and we currently do not have a sufficient prayer space, a Muslim chaplain to support students, or enough funding to put on general MSA programming including Ramadan Iftars. As such, we have launched a funding campaign to support different facets of our organization. In the attached funding proposal, you will find our organization's mission statement, a detailed statement of need and itemized budget, and ways to support us including non-monetary means.
We hope you will take the time to go through our proposal and consider donating to our cause that we value so deeply; please also consider forwarding this to others who may be willing to donate as well. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our campaign, please feel free to email jh...@jhu.edu or our outreach chair Eyad Ali at ea...@jhu.edu.
JazakumAllah Khair,
The Johns Hopkins University Muslim Association Executive Board
