The ACLU of Hawai‘i is hiring its first Immigrants’ Rights Attorney (“IRA”).
The IRA will be focused squarely on the intersection of civil rights and Immigrants’ rights, working to develop cutting-edge cases and innovative policy solutions to current constitutional crises. The IRA will be engaged in bringing impact litigation, as opposed to handling direct services. Here is the position’s overview:
Title: Immigrants’ Rights Attorney
Term: 2 years (extension possible; subject to funding)
Location: Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
Deadline: May 5, 2025; applications accepted until the role is filled
Start Date: Summer/Fall 2025 (exact date negotiable)
Supervision: Reports to the Legal Director
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Salary: $75,000 USD/year
