Migrating from one Elasticsearch to another

Hi everyone,

I’m working on updating 21-points.com to use JHipster 7.9.3. I’ve got the database migrated, and everything works locally. Now I need to move from Bansai search (https://bonsai.io) to Elastic Cloud. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Or maybe using something like this re-indexer is better?

Hey Matt, yes I think you need to re-index everything! The reindexer module used to work well - I haven’t done this for years, but it was doing the job and it was the right approach.

OK. I tried the reindexer mentioned below. It seems to work after fixing some imports.

I do see an issue with search locally that I don’t see in production (created with JHipster v5). 

If I search for a weight, it doesn’t filter the results. However, if I refresh my screen, it does. I’ve attached a video that shows this behavior.

I’ve reproduced the issue mentioned below using the main branch. It seems like it’s mostly an Angular issue since the backend returns the correct results.
