JHipster 8.0?

Hello everyone!

It looks like we’ve fixed most of the issues for 8.0.0. Please comment on this issue if there are things you’d like to see addressed before the release.

I can’t help but think we might want to adopt a more formal release process. For example, I like the one we use at the Apache Software Foundation. It basically involves an email that calls for a vote. If there are three +1s, the release passes. If there are any -1s, the vote fails. There are usually 72 hours to vote, but I could see shortening it to 24 hours since active contributors are pretty attentive.

I just followed roughly along, but I think we are good to go, so +1. Thanks, especially Marcelo driving the development, and everyone involved making a version 8 reality!

Awesome work, Deepu! Thanks for orchestrating the release. 👏👏👏

I recommend updating the release notes to include Spring Boot 3.1.5 instead of 3.1.4. 

Here’s a PR with the change and some minor improvements.
